In visual communications, Illustration is a wonderful way to personalise and create unique and fun brand and campaign stories. This is why, with the right opportunity, I love creating and incorporating illustration as the campaign hero.
A few years ago I submitted a design pitch for the Lunar New Year Festival. The year was the year of the dog. The dog symbol, typography and graphic language all derive from the shape of the moon in its different stages: use of circles, half circles and crescents.
The dog is dynamic, playful and friendly. The colours are the lucky colours of
the Dog year and they provide a bright, festive visual display. The outcome - a clean and simple execution that is contemporary, unique and inclusive.
